Horticulture Services & Landscaping: its in our hands.
At NaturePlus, we are passionate about transforming outdoor spaces into places that are beautiful, functional, and valuable for wildlife. From design through to installation, we keep nature as our first client, ensuring that every project has an ecological purpose while still delivering the finish, style, and usability our customers want. Whether creating a garden, improving a landscape, or enhancing a larger area of land, our aim is to design and deliver outdoor spaces that work for people and nature together.
Cultivating Outdoor Spaces with a Legacy of Care.
Our philosophy is simple: we work with nature, not against it. Every tree we prune and every border we design is handled with a long-term perspective on plant health and environmental impact. By selecting the right species for your specific microclimate and soil profile, we build landscapes that require less intervention and offer more beauty over time. At Nature Plus, we don’t just change your garden for today; we cultivate its potential for years to come.

The kinds of work we do:
Soft & Hard Landscaping
NaturePlus can support a wide range of soft and hard landscaping projects, from planting schemes and soil preparation to pathways, edging, seating areas, and landscape features. We focus on creating spaces that are practical, attractive, and sensitive to the surrounding environment, using materials and methods that help support long-term ecological value wherever possible.
Garden & Planting Designs
A well-designed planting scheme can completely transform a space while also supporting biodiversity. NaturePlus can create garden and planting designs that suit the character of your site, your preferences, and the needs of local wildlife. From seasonal colour and structure to pollinator-friendly planting and habitat-rich borders, we can help design spaces that look good and work hard for nature.
Wild Pond & Swimming Pond Creation
Ponds are one of the most valuable features you can add to a garden or landscape for wildlife. From small wildlife ponds to larger natural swimming ponds, NaturePlus can help design and create water features that are beautiful, functional, and rich in ecological value. These spaces can provide habitat for amphibians, insects, birds, and aquatic plants, while also offering a peaceful and natural focal point for people to enjoy.
Native Planting Specialists
Native plants play an important role in supporting local wildlife, providing food, shelter, and habitat for a wide range of species. NaturePlus can advise on and install native planting schemes that are suited to your site conditions, soil type, and wider landscape. Whether you are looking to create a naturalistic garden, improve a boundary, enhance a meadow, or support Biodiversity Net Gain, we can help select the right plants for the right place.
Hedge Planting & Maintenance Specialists
Hedgerows are one of the most important habitats in the UK landscape, providing food, shelter, nesting opportunities, and movement corridors for wildlife. NaturePlus has been responsible for planting many miles of hedges and maintaining even more, and we are passionate about the habitats they create. We also understand the formal aesthetic that hedging can bring, whether used as a backdrop to a garden, a land boundary, or a structured feature within a landscape.
Maintenance Planning & Consultancy
Good maintenance is essential to help outdoor spaces establish, mature, and continue delivering value over time. NaturePlus can provide maintenance planning and consultancy for gardens, landscapes, planting schemes, hedgerows, ponds, and habitat areas. We can help create clear, practical management plans that support both the desired appearance of a space and its long-term ecological purpose.
Your Questions, Answered.
What is included in a professional horticultural design?
Our horticultural design service is a comprehensive process that begins with a detailed site analysis. We evaluate soil health, drainage, and microclimates to ensure every plant is positioned for long-term success. You will receive a bespoke master plan and a curated planting palette designed to balance seasonal interest with the structural needs of your outdoor space.
Do I need planning permission for my landscaping project?
Most domestic landscaping falls under “permitted development.” However, permission is typically required for properties in Conservation Areas, Listed Buildings, or if you are planning substantial changes to boundary heights and levels. Nature Plus provides guidance on these regulations, and for tree works, we always verify the presence of Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) before starting.
How much does professional tree surgery cost?
Tree surgery is highly specialized and priced based on the trees size, species, and proximity to buildings or power lines. Our quotations are transparent and valid for 6 months. We recommend a site visit so we can assess access requirements and safety protocols to provide an accurate, fixed-price estimate.
How long does a typical garden transformation take?
Timelines vary based on the project’s complexity. A focused planting redesign might take 12 weeks, whereas a full-scale landscape build involving significant earthworks and structural elements can take several months. We provide a clear programme of works at the outset to ensure minimal disruption to your daily life.
Can you work on trees in a Conservation Area?
Yes. Working within a Conservation Area requires a formal six-week notice (Section 211 notice) to the Local Planning Authority. We handle all necessary paperwork and communications with the council on your behalf, ensuring all work meets the high standards of BS3998:2010.
What is the best time of year for landscaping and planting?
Construction and “hard” landscaping can happen year-round. For “soft” landscaping and planting, autumn and early spring are ideal. These windows allow plants to establish their root systems in moist, temperate soil before the stress of summer heat or winter frosts, leading to much higher survival rates.
Do you provide ongoing maintenance after the installation?
While we specialise in design and implementation, we ensure your investment is protected by providing a bespoke aftercare guide specific to your new garden. We can also arrange phased maintenance visits to monitor plant health and perform seasonal pruning as your landscape matures.
Are your landscaping services fully insured?
Yes. For the protection of our clients and their property, Nature Plus holds Public Liability Insurance up to £10,000,000. This covers both residential and commercial projects, ensuring total peace of mind throughout the duration of the works.
